Do you think my parents are being reasonable?

Today i stayed after school and i told them multiple times before school and i even texted them..well apparently my phone wouldnt send messages..or work and so i tried calling them..it didnt work either..so then i left it alone and when i was out of the after school program i texted them multiple times and tried calling..still didnt work..so i borrowed the teachers phone and called..i explained that my phone wasnt working and that im out of class..they told me they would be there shortly and to wait outside..well rn its 5* outside and snowing..its freezing..i didnt see a car while standing outside for 20 minutes and we dont live far so i assumed they were running late..so i decide to cross the street and go into the library to warm up..then i saw there car on the side of the library and i went to it..and then as soon as i got in my dad started calling me a irresponsible dumbass and yelling at me and he took my phone because i "broke it" ..my dad was really angry and was telling me a lot of mean things about how i dont appreciate anyone and how he was sitting outside waiting for me but im to blind too see and etc..when i got home i thought my mom would understanetso i explained and she also gave me the same stuff as my dad..i pay my own phone so i tried explaining it isnt fair..my parents didnt let me explain and talk and they just kept yelling over me..and told me if i dont shut up theyll take me to an asylum..
