Can I get Recruiters assistance after MOS school Artillery?
0861 forward observer. I really want to come home to see my girlfriend after mos school so can I get RA? Are they strict about it?

You will receive orders to your first duty station after MOS school so probably not. Once you report in to your duty station, you can request it from your chain of command. They will probably say no since you just got there. The best time for RA is after boot camp and you already missed that window.
RA is not that great. Yeah, you might be home every night but they work the dog sh*t out of you. I got out of the Marines for a few years and reenlisted in 2005. I was on recruiters assistance for about 6 months waiting on my orders to 29 Palms. I was there 6 days a week from 0500-2200. Sometimes even later. Your recruiter will tell you that it wont be that bad, but once you show up they will work your butt off. Be careful what you wish for.
