Amharic is the official language of Ethiopia. It's a Category II language, with a similar difficulty for English speakers as for example Russian, Greek or Irish Gaelic.

Many people in Ethiopia and Israel speak Amharic today. There's even many more coming to the United States. It is a beautiful language and they are a sweet and humble people
