Martial Law may be needed to prevent Violent Acts by those protesting fools who claim they will disrupt that event.

If there were a chance of success, I suppose he might consider it justified.

I recall in 2009 he supported the outgoing President of Honduras who refused to accept constitutional term limits. In the end, lacking an impeachment process, the Honduran Supreme Court ordered the Armed Forces to remove him from the office and send him out of the country. He was replaced by the president of Congress, according to the Constitution, until the next election.

Obama, as I said, supported the politician who sought to extend his administration illegally, and penalized Honduras for a time.

The people that enforce marshal law won't follow such an obviously illegal order.
