    Some people want to give an answer for the 2 points.

    Or believe that the picked answer is faulty.

    Some don't notice the date, or that the Best is already selected.

    I have seen some questioners select a really bad answer as best in less than two hours of posting.

    Questions do not close completely anymore thats why Questions can not get Answers at any time even if a Best Answer is Picked there is no way to Prevent new Answers form being posted to the Question
