Will Mexico ever get rid of Cartels?

Will they be ever able to suppress the cartel? The Philippines President Duterte is willing to eliminate any drug dealers or drug lord in his country. Let say what if Mexico does the same. Probably too much corruption to do that.

The Cartels own the government and all sorts of big businesses there to launder money. Too much money involved to stop it

No. A big blow to the cartels, however, would be if we would just finally legalize marijuana. It won't solve every cartel problem, but would put a huge dent in there income streams.

Blame US consumers. Mexico tried killing the cartels. Didn't work

The drug cartels run most of Mexico.

Maybe, but every country has some drug trafficking. The problem with the tactics of Duterte is that he kills first, asks questions later. Most countries believe in some form of law to determine guilt before they execute.

All drugs should be legal and borders open.
