Patek Philippe is surely high on the list with the costliest watch ever made. In a recent watch almanac, I think Pateks start at $26,800 for a steel sports model and go up to over $900,000 for complicated wristwatches. I was surprised to see that Richard Mille watches begin at $100,000 and go up to $1,800,000 apiece. That surely makes it the costliest brand overall. Franck Muller makes the most complicated wristwatch, the "Aeternitas Mega 4" that sells for $2,600,000 now, but Muller watches begin at $7800 or so and thus fall behind Patek Philippe and Richard Mille overall. Some new brands challenge the old ones, e.g. Richard Mille, De Bethune and DeWitt.

In an early edition of your book, I think you said Breguet was costliest. Breguet, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Gerald Genta, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Franck Muller, Corum, Cartier and Piaget were some of the costliest brands, if I recall correctly. I think Breguet has dropped in price, so Patek Philippe should be at the top or near it.

The most expensive I know is the Swiss hand made Blancpain brand. Each watch is constructed by hand a few models start at 100K US dollars. They make Rolex watches look like a cheap Timex. Audemars Piguet is another brand with qwatches in the ten to hundred thousand dollar range. The finest luxury mechanical is still the Piaget Emporador Coussin hand made multi jewelled watch. I cannot find a quote on the price aa they are priced on a watch by watch basis. They are now only made to order and very few can afford them.

I think Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin quite expensive brands, perhaps costliest brands. Audemars Piguet, Bvlgari, Blancpain, Franck Muller, Corum, Cartier, Piaget, Girard-Perregaux, Richard Mille, DeWitt, also expensive. Patek Philippe "Graves Watch" most valuable (pocket)watch of history. 2014, it bring $24,000,000 at auction. Patek "Calibre 89" most complicated (pocket)watch 1989-2015. it bring $5,335,150 at 2004 auction. Most valuable wristwatch is Vacheron Constantin "Kallista", at 2000 it worth $9,000,000. Vacheron make most complicated (pocket)watch 2015, it beat Patek "Calibre 89". Price and buyer confidential, surely cost millions..
