My book club is doing a reading challenge this year. We are looking for a book written by someone who isn't a writer. Do you know of any?

Many celebrities have ghost writers.

If you are looking for a book by someone who is nor a professional writer, you may find many memoirs suitable. Those that were ghostwritten for major celebrities obviously don't count, but a lot of less known or local ones are legitimately written by the people who lived through the events that they cover.

There are also all the indie books on Amazon, by writers who are definitely not doing it for a living (though several wish they were).

Anyone who writes a book is a writer. Do you mean 'not a professional author'?
