Atheists: Would it make a difference to you if you knew that God was TRYING to hide from you?

A quick search of "hide my face" in the Bible yields this:

https://www.biblegateway.com/quicksearch/?quicksea...

Since I'm not an atheist, I am looking to understand. It was my experience that when I felt like God wasn't there, that I was praying to a wall, that God might not even exist, I pressed through that feeling because the only other plausible religion I'd run across to that time was atheism. And if atheism is true, when we're dead, we're dead. Nothing matters long-term. It's like putting money in a bank that has a lava pit beneath. So I pressed through the feeling that God wasn't there, I pushed through the feeling that God wasn't listening, and about a week into that, God revealed Himself to me. Not in a direct vision or an audible voice, but in a way I found convincing. And God was obviously trying to convince only me. After that, there was a good year where I felt like I was praying to a wall. There was nothing - no feeling, no revelation, nothing. But after a year of persistence, God revealed Himself to me again. At each revelation of his presence, He made it clear that He is not a force, but a personality. He's scary as [****]! I'm not talking about beauty or awe, but poop your pants because you're afraid scary (Ex. 20). He answered my philosophical questions with ease, things that I thought were so hard to answer. Would it matter if you knew that we have to SEEK God to find him? (Mt. 7:7)

Update:

I just want to point out that a very small portion of the answers so far actually answer the question. Would it make a difference?

Update 2:

On miracles and revelations, I should point out that many revelations have to do with things that cannot physically be known by the prophetic person. John Wimber saw "adultery" written across someone's head on an airplane. I know people personally who have prayed for teeth to grow back, and they did. This person I speak of is not crazy or a liar (that I know of). The list goes on and on. I'm sure you've all heard stories like these. These are not hallucinations. They have real counterparts.

    Nope.

    Before I could know that,

I would have to have some way of knowing

    that this hypothetical God,

    that you are talking about,

    was real.

    I have no such knowledge.

So every hypothetical you can come up with

is also about a completely hypothetical God.

Most atheists have already done the seeking thing. What they discovered was that there is no evidence supporting the existence of a god or gods.

    You raise an interesting point.

Proof is only available to those who are truly seeking the creator God.

Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."

And Deuteronomy 4:29 says, "But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul."

From everyone else, God remains hidden.

I would also like to point out that God knows who is sincerely seeking him, and who is seeking him just for "entertainment value." No one can fool God because God sees our heart and knows our thoughts. That's why, when I hear non-believers claim that they "tried that and did not find God," that I understand they most likely were not able to fool God about their true intentions.

I think it's cute that you think that people haven't searched for your god, if it exists there would be evidence.

You should go to the doctor or something, hallucinating like that can be signs of something more serious.
