Do I put my college tuition on my taxes if financial aid paid for it?

    It depends what type of financial aid.

    Generally, if you got free money, such as scholarships & grants which you do not have to repay later, then you cannot deduct the tuition. In fact its possible for the scholarships & grants to count as taxable income.

    If you got loans which you will have to repay later, then you can deduct the tuition and other qualifying expenses.
