Hay Americans, do you ever think like maybe your Justice system is kinda a joke?

It is disgraceful. For example, 14 years for a cold blooded murder? What's 14 years when the victim lost his whole life - perhaps 50 or more years and 50 or more years that the family has lost those years with their family member. And getting out on parole - why? The punishment (or lack thereof) is disgraceful, too often a slap on the wrist. And, they let them out to commit more crimes and to kill again. And, they cannot seem to keep those in prison, in prison. There are people who have broken out of prison more than once. Will the prison system and the justice system ever wake up? Not likely. I'd chain those criminals to the cement floor. If the floor isn't cement, it should be. And take away their comforts - tv, computers, fitness equipment, and don't give them access to law books so that they can figure out how to do the crime better next time so that they don't get caught.

It's not a joke, but it's not really a "justice" system. It's a competitive system. Prosecutors have no interest in justice, only in convictions (wins). Defense attorneys, most of them paid by the government, are only interested in the paycheck. Federal judges have life time appointments with Fortune 500 benefits. Yeah it's not really a justice system.

Why no. That's because it isn't a joke, or any other derogatory name you can come up with.

Not as big of a joke as you are for as a "human".
