23andme question Asian descent?
So I recently took an Ancestry DNA test and I was pretty happy with my results except for one thing. My Father is European and my Mother is Asian, the Ancestry test shows the European descent in detail like British,West European and Scandinavian but the Asian side only shows "East Asian". So I did a little research and apparently 23andMe has East Asian in detail. Now the real question is I'm very very curious to what my Mothers Asian descent is should I or or my Mother take the 23andMe test if I want to get the most detail? Or does it not matter?

She's probably just a mutt of East Asian variety and they can't tell where exactly she's from.

Of course it matters! Yes, you should definitely take the test if you are interested in finding out your ancestry. After all who knows what an exciting journey you may be starting out on!
