How long can I keep a mortgaged vehicle without paying before they CANNOT repossess it?

I want to know if I move 3 states away how long I have before the finance company just gives up and leaves me alone.

    Probably depends on the value of the vehicle.

    If you do not pay for it, you will "never" get the title for it and will not be able to register it in another state. Without the title it will be difficult to dispose of when the time comes.
