I just signed a contract with Virgin Media, I'm getting SuperFibre 50. I know it depends on my area but generally speaking what speeds?

should I expect??

I been moving about so much I only really used my phones internet tethered to my laptop (300kb-500kb), and before that I was travelling NZ so I never really experienced home broadband.

I should expect that you will get a raw speed somewhere between 37 and 50 Mbps, representing 75% or more of the package speed.

Unless you have a significant number of users watching movies I doubt whether you will reach these sorts of speed except when you are downloading large files from a fast site.

    I hope this helps.

How should we know? None of us live in your area.

You should get whatever speed you pay for.
