My iphone crack by itself?

Hello guys

I had an iphone 5c and the battery went bad. So i stop using it and leave it in my night table. Later i open it and it like the screen didnt crack but the internal stuff falling out. Like the whole phone split apart

    Even if the battery swelled to twice it's normal thickness, stuff would not just fall out of the phone.
