Your mom is not a immigrant, she's a illegal alien. How many laws has she broken? She has to had broke some laws in able to live here. When she's deported don't be surprised.

If your mother legally immigrated to US, she has no problem. In fact, if she legally immigrated, she would have had her green card long enough to have applied for naturalization years ago! Of course, legal permanent residents (green card holders) are never required to apply for citizenship, and can remain LPRs for the rest of their lives.
IF - and only if - your mother is not legally present, or has been convicted of a crime, does she have a problem. Lawbreakers have to go, not legal immigrants.

As long as she's not an illegal immigrant, she should have no problems (currently)
Who knows what that lunatic will do in the future

So is your mother a US citizen? Or a green card holder who hasn't bothered to apply for citizenship...
The ONLY people who are safe are US citizens...no one else as everyone else is a 'guest' in the US and guests can always be asked /told to leave

If your mother is a legal American Citizen she has nothing to fear.
If she came here illegally and never became a legal citizen then she may have a problem. But she will NOT be sough out as any priority target by Trump's Administration. He is going after violent criminals.
