Can I transfer my old hard drive from my previous custom built PC to a new custom built PC without having to buy another OS?
What I mean by old is probably about less than a year old something happened with my old PC so I was going to build another one at a lot cheaper price and I was just wondering if my OS that was already installed on the hard drive from my previous custom built PC can work on a new custom built PC

You likely will have to buy a new OS. The installed OS will detect all the hardware changes and disable itself until you buy a new license, figuring it's in a new PC. Because it is.
