If I die in my house alone, will my parakeets die?
I'm asking because I live by myself in a house with my 2 parakeets. I'm having really bad chest pain, left side of chest, and my armpit and abdomen hurt as well. It got worse when I laid down on my back. I'm not a hypochondriac, so calling 9-1-1 won't be something I would do, unless I know I'm dying. Will anyone know whether or not I've died? I'm kinda scared that nobody will find my parakeets until they're dead after I die. (Not sure how long a parakeet lives after the owner passes away, but their dishes are always full of water and food every day. I feel like I'm going to throw up.

Yes, but it sounds like you're just having heartburn. Parakeets rely on humans for survival, you're right.

Have someone check in one you at least twice a week by email or whatever. So your pets will live on.

Did anyone check back on this person? Sounds like a heart attack for sure. I worry about the same thing.

You won't die in your house alone if you call emergency services when you need them. You are being foolish to wait. A bird will die when it starves. The time it takes for this to happen depends on how much food and water you provide. If you are afraid that your bird will die when you are in the hospital, ask the staff to notify your nearest relative or an animal shelter that you need help with the birds.

Okay, if you're not sure about calling 9-1-1, then don't... But take action? You think you might die? You're having horrible pains? Do something! Call the nearest medical clinic and ask for an appointment, or walk into the hospital emergency.

If you are having chest pains, GO TO THE HOSPITAL/CALL 911. You also stated you stopped taking your blood pressure medication, so you really NEED to do this. It is not worth taking this chance.
By the way - can't you call someone you know and tell them what is going on? Let them know you don't feel well and don't know what to do. Ask them to come over and help you out. Perhaps they will then accompany you to the hospital or in the least to the doctor's office.
You know other people care about you and you need to take care of yourself.
Regarding your birds, it might be assumed you have people who call you and would notice if you didn't answer. If not, then find a way to find people who are interested in the same things you are intersted in. It doesn't really matter what those things are. Go to the gym and lift weights; join in on some sort of sports activity; volunteer somewhere - because you will meet really nice people there; volunteer for an animal rescue group.
And, I am pretty sure you should be more concerned whether someone would find YOU. So, GO TO THE HOSPITAL/CALL 911 or CALL A FRIEND OR RELATIVE. Don't assume others don't care.
You need to care about yourself, and then others will, too.
Get on the phone RIGHT NOW and tell your doctor what is going on; also call a friend. Do this without delay.
After you have this health issue taken care of, then adopt a dog!! These are your goals right now.

At the very least have someone check in on you once a day.

Eventually unless they are fed and watered, just as with any pets, they may well die. It's therefore essential that all of us, especially those who live alone, make sure their pets will be collected and taken care of. I have a notice alongside my front door to tell people 'pets live here' (as much for any fire or other emergency break in situation as anything) and my neighbour knows where we have a key and that if she doesn't see us as normal, she would act. I also, now I don't have my sister around, have somebody lined to to carry out my instructions re what happens to my two hounds in the event I'm not here.
