Futons take up a lot of space .. AND are not really comfortable. Not for sitting on, not for sleeping on either.
I suggest you look for a chair for yourself .. try it out. Look for something you can curl up in and be comfortable .. or a chair and an ottoman for your feet.
I have no idea what YOU think "cute" is. That is entirely subjective.
