Is it safe to eat items out from the can that was frozen?

My sister had a box of can food's in a non-heated storage unit. She gave me part of those cans and now it's second guessing me on questioning on food poisoning by the food in the cans used to be frozen.

The reason you can food is so that you don't have to refrigerate them. Cans were the original preservation method before fridges were common in households. Once the can is open, then you have to finish it off quickly, but while the can is closed, no problems.
