Help naming an alcohol?
this alcohol here http://imgur.com/FqCPuJT is named 2 methyl 2 propanol, i don't understand , shouldn't it be named di methyl ethanol ?

You start with the longest linear chain to give the basic name. 3 carbon chain is propane.
