I logged on to turbo tax to make corrections but received my check before they were submitted?

Use Form 1040X to make the changes.

You cannot correct your return once file. You would have to file an amended return.

Once you submit it, you can't just make changes and resubmit, you have to file an amendment, that's the only way to dchange it after you submit it.

If you've already received your refund then you've already filed your return.

If you need to make corrections, you must file an amended return. You can do that through Turbo Tax.

Do the amendment as soon as possible and don't spend your refund yet. If you owe money because of the amendment you have to pay before April 15th to avoid penalties and interest charges.

If you received a refund check, that means you submitted your return. Once a return is submitted, you can only make corrections by filing an amended return (1040X)
