How long should I wait to call a prospective landlord?

Dropped off the application this morning and he said he'd be in touch. Nervously waiting. :P Writing this on Wednesday night.... Should I give him until at least Friday?

    I am a landlord. I would be turning your information in for a background check and that might come back as early as Friday or may not. Then I look it over and decide. You might get an answer as early as Friday or it may take tile Tuesday or even longer. No harm in calling on Friday- they should be able to guess at a timeline.

    No. He has to do the credit and background check before approving you.

    Depending on how many applications the landlord has, It can take 1-2 weeks for the landlord to run the credit/background check and decide on whom to accept.

    Give him a couple days at least. It can take a few days to a couple weeks to clear your application. It does not hurt to check in but don't be a pest.
