Losing weight w/ crackers & water?

Alright. I'm overweight for my age at the moment. I've just realized it. Now I am thinking I need to take responsibility of taking care of myself because I ain't getting younger. So my question is for you guys (or at least some suggestions), will it be okay for me to go with just eating crackers & drinking water for a few weeks plus a bunch of exercise? I am 26, I work at a call center which leads me to just sitting most of my shift (starts early morning and ends afternoon with 2 days off) Any ideas on what my exercise router should be and what proper food i should go for? I'm pretty sure just eating crackers & drinking water isn't good for your health overall. I really want to change for the better. And also, I barely have time to go to the gym cause of other responsibilities at home. And when I do have enough time, I prefer to rest my body and mind from work.

No,no no! I am not lying to you here, you will become sick and then gain it all back anyway.

I am recovering from anorexia, I see dieticians and I listen up, I also managed to destroy my metabolism in a matter of months and then what happens is when you eat again, even a tiny but more you gain weight back and gain it back fast, you then have to keep eating to heal it, fine for me since I am underweight but why lose your weight only to gain it back? A damaged metabolism can take a while to heal.

And the implications are terrible, so many potential health problems can arise and very suddenly too, I was not even undrweight and I was weak, got low blood pressure and my hair starting to fall out, by the time I was underweight I was strugling to walk, doctors told me I could go into cardiac arrest and die and my organs could fail, this was not just due to my weight being so low, it was malnutrition, I was also iron and vitamin deficient even taking suppliments and had sores in my mouth.

Go to a TDEE calculator online and get a guide of your daily burn, then eat 500 below it to lose 1 pound per week, TDEE is total energy expenditure from all daily activities including walking to your bathroom, taking a shower etc, BMR is a different thing, your BMR is what you need to sit in bed all day and blink, never eat below that ever.

Once you have an idea of your intake requirements for weight loss take that amount and split it as follows:

    Breakfast

    Morning snack

    Lunch

    Afternoon snack

    Dinner

    Evening snack.

That way you will never feel too hungry, snacks can be simple like fruit too, you fit the intake in but you can place the calories where you need them most, for me it's dinner, most of my calories go in from lunch onwards because I get most hungry then but you adapt it to suit you, just don't skip anything, hunger is miserable.

My husband is overweight and he is doing the above and losing weight nicely, he honestly thought it would never work and that his anorexic wife was in no position to give advice but then he met my dietician and gave it a go, he is 8 pounds down in 4 weeks, the first week you often lose a bit more because water weight comes off from any overeating you were doing as well as fat loss.

Do not aim to lose more than 2 pounds per week either, you will lose muscle, look awful.feel weak and muscle burns calories more effectively than fat so you don't want to lose that.

And don't ban any foods at all, moderate them, people who ban foods tend to rebound eat and no food is bad, some just need moderating more due to calorie volume and because they may not provide esssential nutrients but the body needs everything, even fats so you need a good variety in there and that can include choccolate, cake etc, just balance it and research portion sizes.

Crackers is not what you want to eat to lose weight. Search for a couple of 3 Day Tuna Diets. In spite of the name, there is really not much tuna eaten with these recipes. I looked for a couple of 3DT recipes and substituted foods that I like for ones I don't. They are basically 1200 calories a day diets.
