Baby name?
I really like the names Lana & Alana for a baby girl. ONE OR THE OTHER-- not both!!
I have some hesitations with Alana because of others with that name, but want to be sure the name would be properly pronounced.
1. Would you say Lana as LA-nuh & Alana as Uh-LA-nuh???
2. If not, how would you say them??

I like Lana but it sounds like a nick name. Alana could be pronounced as "ah lawn auh"

I would say Ah la nah since it starts with an A not a u.
If you have Alana you have the choice of both names.

Yes, I would pronounce them they way you've written out the pronunciations.

Uh-LA-nuh.
I prefer the name Lana :)
I think it's more memorable, and it's very pretty!
