Internet explorer cannot display page Windows XP Professional SP2?

Just started a PC that hasn't ran since 2009, installed a Wi-Fi router kit and can run internet explorer. However it can only open MSN and Bing but other pages display errors. Want to install chrome as well.

Using another computer if necessary, visit http://ftp.mozilla.org/ and then click through

    pub > firefox > releases > 51.0.1 > win32

Click the link corresponding to your language (and region if applicable).  Download "Firefox Setup 51.0.1.exe" to a flash drive.

Transfer the flash drive to the XP machine and install Firefox.

I suspect a DNS error. Check your network settings especially TCP/IP. If nothing works, call your ISP for help.
