How do i explain this?
my friend is convined that leaving a laptop charging when its at 100 percent that it will destroy the battery.. but im trying to explain that that was with the old batteries, the ones that held memory. lithium ion batteries (the ones used in almost everything nowadays) will not remember the charge..
he doesnt believe me...

Hello I'm the Statesboro PC doctor. Leaving a lithium ion battery plugged in won't harm or shorten its life. It will in fact prolong it.
The one drawback to lithium ion battery so is if they should short out being plugged in will heat them up and possible fire.
This risk increases the more you plug it in and then unplug to drain it.

He's wrong. You can leave it plugged in 100% of the time and it will not damage the battery. Been that way since... well, forever.
