What do you do if you break your ankle and your parents are home? Do you call an ambulance or do your parents take you?

    You of course tell your parents and they may drive you to the hospital. Or call an ambulance.

    I would ask them to drive me to the hospital. I would have to go clear into the hospital downtown because my nearest hospital doesn't accept my insurance.

    Have your parents carry you out to the car and drive you. Ambulances cost anywhere from $700.00-over 1K. Even if you are only going a few blocks.

    I would not pay hundreds of dollars for an ambulance

    Get them to drive you to the ER. It'll be faster and cheaper.
