Am I an artist?

Yes, anyone who makes art work is an artist. Many people may disagree because of others skills and talents but just because your skills haven't developed doesn't make you any less of an artist. Anyone/Everyone can be an artist but if you want to make art for money you need to become a professional artist.

If you create art, you are an artist. Period.

If you SELL the art you create, then you are a "professional" artists.

Professionals are those who get paid for their skills, whatever they may be.

Then you are an artist. Maybe not everyone else will agree with you but that doesn't matter. No one will believe in you if you don't believe in yourself so go forth and be an artist.
