can I have two totally separate google accounts?

whenever I logout of google, it leaves my username and asks for my password. There is an option below this to "sign in with a different account" but when I click this, it only gives me 2 options: add account (which makes me think the two accounts would be connected) or delete account, which would delete the account (I don't want this). I'm just trying to have two separate google accounts/ youtube pages. Is that too much to ask?

    You can rest easy with the fact that you can have as many Google accounts as you want. In fact, after you create an additional account it will simply ask you what account you want to log into. The accounts are not bound to each other in any way and all attributes are retained.

    You can have as many as you want. I have Four separate Gmail Address/s
