The root-mean-square speed of Cl2 at a particular temperature is 310 m/s. What is the corresponding temperature in degrees Celsius?

    The equation to use is:

    v = square root (3RT/M) where m is the molar mass in kg/mole.

    310 m/s = square root [3(8.314)(T)/(0.0709 kg/mol)]

    T = 273 K = 0 C
