Using Kieth Ellison's logic, if a foreign dignitary bought a copy or "Dreams of my Father" was he in violation of the emollients clause?

Update:

Was Obama in violation? my bad.

Keith Ellison is an anti-semitic racist. Fitting that he'll get the DNC chair.

Next time you decide you want to ask a question like this, why don't you ask yourself "What do I know about what Obama did with the proceeds of his books while he was President?"

If you had, you would have seen this on what he did with the proceeds from his children's' book.

"Proceeds from the book, which has a suggested retail price of $17.99, will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation for a scholarship fund for children of fallen and disabled soldiers."

Only if Obama sold it to him directly, or if he had a hand in the purchase.

Presumably, Obama signed a contract with his publisher to get X dollars for the rights to print Y copies of the book. That would have been the limit of his involvement in the sale: Obama's contact to the sale is incidental.

Upon becoming President did Obama not place the profits received from his book into a scholarship fund for children of US military who have lost parents?

    Why yes he did.
