What is better if you want to get a job in developing video games, graphic design or computer science?
So i was checking out the electives for registration to high school next year and i saw graphic design and computer science. Which one is better for developing games or are they both good? I heard graphic design is just to design ads and stuff so thats why i ask.

Graphic design would probably be better. You would design characters, box art, maybe a little level design. Computer science would be more for if your want make game consoles or computers.

It depends on what type of person you are and what you want to do. They are completely different disciplines, but both are necessary in game production. One is creative and one is technical. Do you want to be an artist or a problem solver? Do you want to design the "look" of the game or design the function of the game?

Computer Science by far. Once you have that you can learn anything else you need.
