There aren't typically age restrictions so long as you're a legal adult. Some campuses even offer themed residence halls for upperclassmen, nontraditional students, or particular academic fields. You might find a more comfortable environment outside of the typical two-eighteen-year-olds-to-a-double-room setup. Schools usually have at least a few housing options and typically offer single rooms in the residence halls. I don't know what schools you're looking at, but I would look for an apartment-style hall, which tend to attract older students anyhow. Have fun and good luck!

PS I was a Resident Assistant in the "first-year experience hall" and had residents into their mid-20's (plus a few international students who tend to be mid-20's or older). When I was an RA in the community service learning hall (a brand new, apartment-style hall) I had residents into their early 30's.

it is up to the school. Each college has different rules. Ask at the school
