How is FACEBOOK useful?

Facebook is a tool originally designed for networking, professional and otherwise. It is an effective way for older adults to get in touch with adults from their past who they may have lost touch with. Simply by searching by name you are able to find people that you may have lost touch with years ago.

This assumes they have a facebook, but by having one you allow yourself to be found.

Facebook has better security than myspace but less users. It is also more focused on education and career advancement. Myspace on the other hadn was set up as a purely social network meant more for dating than reconnecting or fostering useful relationships.

Cnnect with friends, and family.

Facebook is a Site to Share what you up to with your Friends its also a good way to see Photos and Videos with your Friends and Family especially if some of them are Far away it can even be a Site to Reconnect with someone that you lost Contact with

To connect with loved ones who are far away but if you can already do that with phone calls, text messages and video conferencing then maybe you don't need FB anymore.

Others use FB for networking in a business-minded context.

It's not useful

it's not like a "game" - it's a way to keep in touch with old friends who moved away, or family who have moved away, it's what you make of it - ignore the stupid posts and the friend whore posts and never add someone you dont actually know in real life as a friend and after some time you will see why it can be useful
