If you know you are 100% in your heart you are innocent, then you don't have to demand forgiveness from her. She needs to be the one to say she is sorry. If she didn't trust you to begin with and thought you cheated on her, then you didn't want her in the first place.

Going by the implication that you're not a couple because she thought you were cheating when you weren't...then she has/had some trust issues that led her to think that you were cheating.

Nothing you can do or say will make her believe otherwise. And even if you were somehow to prove that you weren't cheating...she's going to feel bad and possibly resentful because she was wrong and ruined the relationship.

The best thing is to keep with the whole not cheating thing with whomever is your new girlfriend and live your life as a good person.

Hopefully your ex will find someone who can help her get past her trust issues and move on in her life. Then if the two of you bump into each other...you might get that forgiveness. But it's not going to happen any time soon...so don't dwell on it and go on with your life.
