Why does the President get flak for using a teleprompter?

I have no idea. They are television 101 and everyone from local news anchors to Kings and presidents use them.

In the good old days. Stages had humps in them. Were a person hid under them & held up cards to read from. Today teleprompters do that. It would create more jobs if they went back to bumps in the stage. So to make jobs like Trump said he would. Staged bumps Trump is getting use to.

It's a huge deal now because Conservatives and Republicans berated President Obama for using one.

So now that trump actually NEEDS one, it's okay for him to use one now.

Actually he was praised for sticking to the teleprompter to avoid saying something stupid like he usually does when unscripted.

Racists like Rush Limbaugh tried to make it sound like Harvard Grad Obama was a 'dumbnigger' and couldn't speak without one. Now that we have a president who can't read very well it is more appropriate to point out how much Trump needs one.

It's funny because he never uses them. Suddenly, he uses them. It signals a change in his tactics from "talking out of his butt" to "talking out of someone else's butt."
