It's a sin to self pleasure yourself but when it's "that time of the month" like why do I have to completely suffer?

At this point I am going insane. Celibacy is great I feel fine but this not "fixing" the problem around my cycle is driving me insane. As a Christian I shouldn't lust or fo things selfishly but like what gives. I should just marry someone so I can not be in turmoil (oh but then it probably will turn into divorce another sin) I am becoming a disgruntled person. I am fine with not having intercourse but this "feeling" is making me mad.

I find it strange that God lets children starve and good people suffer from cancer, but for some reason cares a lot about what people do with their genitals...

So there are a bunch of lecherous, envious, lustful old men sitting around a table whether it's the Watchtower Elders, Pope, Scientology cultists, etc. making rules up about sexuality within their organizations / cults.

And you are allowing them to dictate what you do with your body and with whom for an imaginary "greater good" that only old lecherous old men somehow have the authority to define?

    Really?

Grow up. All of that was made up to control people.

Sorry, but resisting sin is never going to be easy. If you want an easy religion, Christianity is not for you. You have to build up your moral muscles.

It is not bad or sinful. It is natural, normal and even if you have a sexual partner, is sometimes biologically unavoidable. Some people assume that things that are private are somehow bad. (There are still a few religions that disapprove of it.)

You may as well get used to it because the urge will be with you for the rest of your life, although it can weaken with age.

Wow, just focus on Jesus, find the man God intends, and be happy for a change.

Denying yourself pleasure for a greater good is usually the best course, and that's the definition of suffering. The season of Lent is a good time to build up our discipline in a faith that requires us to take up that cross and follow Jesus.

The greater good, in this case, is marriage, the permanent, pledged mating relationship of a man and a woman. Finding the right mating partner is a journey requiring discernment. In the meantime, it is often necessary, as we Catholics say, to offer up our suffering to God.

The higher you climb, the farther you fall. Do not be too good or too evil.
