Can stress cause a missed period?

Update:

My best friend left 25 days ago without saying anything and she hasn't returned. I'm very concerned about her, and I'm under stress right now to add to it. I was supposed to get my period yesterday or today and I'm really worried about it. And no, I can't be pregnant, I'm 11 and even then, I'm homosexual.

    It can cause a late period but not a missed one
