Music notation question?
I m composing a passage of music which includes a note being held for 8 counts- 4 beats of a crescendo and 4 beats of a decrescendo.
This continues on for quite some time.
My question is- Do I need to write the crescendos in every time? I figure there is a proper way.

You can write *simile* or just *sim* (no asterisks, of course) after the first occurrence.
