are you working with a doctor, under medication?

it is one day, for two hours... don't let yourself get too worked up about it... the focus isn' t on you... you don't even have to talk much... get up eariler... tell yourself it is just for a little while and you can relax once you are back at home...

Having suffered from depression for a number of years, I can tell you that staying home doesn't make you feel any better.

Yes you should go to the wedding.

No you don't need to stay until midnight.

Yes you should be working vigilantly with your medical and mental health care providers so that you can participate in the most very basic life activities like attending an important family event.

Taking your focus out of yourself could be what you need Go to the wedding with the intent to have a good time do not allow the thoughts of self come in by focusing on the people and things around you. If you go expecting to have a good time you probably will have a very good time If you go anticipating being moody or standoffish and depressed you are going to have a bad time where ever you are. It really is a matter of choice Choose to be happy and fake it until you make it A bit of fun could be the very medicine you need

Just drink plenty of alcohol. You'll be fine!
