    There are a lot of things it could be and we have no clue what kind of car you have, the engine it has, the mileage on the vehicle and a number of other pertinent and important details. The question quality survey indicator on my desk is pointing to EPIC FAIL. Try again or post some updates.

    Some common things are worn, dirty or fouled spark plugs. A loose spark plug or one with a broken insulator. A faulty spark plug wire, a dirty or worn distributor cap, clogged PCV valve, weeping throttle body injectors, too rich of an idle mixture, bad idle control valve, bad oxygen sensor, faulty mass airflow sensor and many, many other things.

    since you asked such an incomplete question - you need to have a qualified mechanic do an inspection
