Would you rather pay off your debt live in a van or keep giving away money that you earn for things society says you need (like a house)?

I think the economy shouldn't have to drive people to live in vans or tiny homes, who ever are purposely running the world into the ground should wise up and let interest rates rise already so housing costs will stabilize.

I would not mind living in a small home that is not exactly a tiny home because I think that is only good for a vacation not for everyday. A small home is when you have a big kitchen but smaller bedrooms and a big walk in shower

Neither option sounds great. If I were younger, I'd say the van, for sure. But as you get older, you just want creature comforts, like a proper bed and running water. I figure, if I die with an insane amount of debt, then I won.
