why don't the republicans just copy the healthcare that congress receives and make it national since none of them say anything bad about it?

good point so If We BYPASS Insurance companies the middle man and just like one pays SOCIAL SECURITY out of ones pay check . we pay into the goverment to have a reserve account for them to pay doctors and hospitals and implement some regulation about prices and drugs it improves the COST of health care .
.. called a ONE PAYER SYSTEM and everyone gets the same BASIC care . and if you want anything above that you pay for it yourself . cosmetic surgery Special dental services .... The VETS have a RIGHT to health care .. so every person should have some mandated service time in some branch of service at least a year . or 2 weeks a year and week ends a month for two years like the reserves and the population will be PREPARED in an event of war
now if you can not go to war for religious reasons you can still do some function in medical services food service inventory supplies so you get what SKILLS TRAINING in some field with in the military services
this would also elevate that NEW high school graduate that has no skills and no intent to further their education academically the goverment TRAINS them for a job with 2 years of service and one does not end up at low level job for a life time

Because we DO NOT WANT nationalized health care. There is nothing in the constitution that calls for the Feds to oversea healthcare for the entire nation.

Our government, our taxes, pay for the federal health plan. The Republicans like Democrats, are lobbied by insurance companies to make laws favorable to them.

Congress members pay for their healthcare---it's the same as offered to any Federal employee. The GOP's problem is that they consider health care a commodity, like gasoline or real estate, and not a basic human right.
So the GOP mantra is "If you can't pay, then you die, tough s---t".
