Am I the only one who thinks it is stupid, that we are limited to how many questions we can ask and answer?

There is no limit! Well, at least, not for answering. I don't know about asking. I know how to use Google, so I've never had to ask anything.

Imagine this, you ask a question and you get hundreds of spam answers. Or you open a category and you see nothing but hundreds of "rate my look" questions. The limits have a very good basis in the history of the site.

Have you seen some of the troll question on here?

Now think, how many more would there be if anyone could open an account and ask 5,000 questions their first day.

Or answer 5,000 questions with rude stupid or meaningless answers.
