Presonus studio one artist 3 recording studio software?
i have presonus studio one artist 3 software it came along with the presonus audiobox usb interface ive been experience muddy and distorted playback and recording coming from monitor headphones and also my external studio monitors
everything i have is brand new
my laptop has up to date drivers
including the presonus software and audio box i tried reinstalling the software and box tried different usb ports it produces the same thing .... when i go on youtube and listen to a video or song everyhing works fine ... even when i export my project it sounds really bad i tired different media players etc nothing seems to be working has anyone else experience this problem with recording guitar and all my knobs on my isb box is turned down for channel one and two and my volumes are at the right

im not running anything from a a usb hub everything is directly plugged in the laptop
when i had protools i never experienced this issue at all
correction i been expereincing muddy and distorted playback and recording since day one

Try different software to start with - Tracktion 5 is free (and likely better than the program that came with the box).

Looking at the specifications of the audiobox, it only has one sample rate so it not be possible to mis-configure anything..
Try some of the Tracktion demo projects (from the account > download tab) to see if they play back OK.
It looks like the "mixer" pot allows you to monitor the inputs directly via headphones, without needing to record anything - try that and see if the audio is clean & sounds OK then.
When recording, make sure the input level control on the box for the channel(s) you are using is as *high* as it can be without overloading; that gives you the best quality and least noise level. Turn any unused input to minimum.
