How to get sweet revenge on upstairs neighbors?
My husband have lived in the apartment complex for about 3 years. We haven t had any issues with any one of the tenants until about 6 months ago when this girl moved in with her bf. Ever since she moved in, every weekend we would wake up at 1-3am from music blasting and people jumping around like kangaroos with weights on their feet. This continued for about 3 months before I made a noise complaint to the landlord, who is also my stepfather. He brushed it off. Then one night we had a few people over before we headed out to the bar. We had more people over before heading to the bar at 10:30pm. I get a call from my mother saying there was a noise complaint (from the upstairs neighbor) and was livid, even after saying we left and are at the bar. Anyway, moving on. Weekends continued with our noisy neighbors jumping around and playing their music. We decided to reach out to the neighbors ourselves. No response, so then we told the landlord again about their noise every weekend at 1-3am. Then last night my husband and I had two people over, TWO! We had a couple drinks and ended the night at about 11:30. Our friends leave and then my mother, wife of the landlord comes over to tell us the upstairs made a noise complaint. Now we can t have people over passed 10pm. My husband and I are pissed. All our complaints we have ever made are at 1-3am and the complaints our neighbors make on us aren t even breaking midnight. We want sweet revenge to make this **** annoyed and hopefully move.

Make your complaints in writing with all details. Do not exaggerate and document everything. Do not attempt revenge- everyone-everyone-everyone I have known in my 60+ years that "got revenge" regretted it in end. Things come back and bite you- do not do that.

If she is not on the lease, call the landlord and file a complaint

when this noise happens call the police, it is not legal for loud noise after 10 pm, if you call the police often enough something will have to be done about them

Look, any loud noise after 11pm you call the police and report a noise issue. Not the landlord, not talk to them, not get revenge - you do the noise complaint. The police start charging tickets to them when repeated calls are done to the same apartment.
Trying to get revenge only puts you in danger from the neighbors. Plus it's stupid teen thinking to do the vengence thing. Be an adult. Get the police involved.

You have to file a police complaint if noise persists after 10 p.m. Whenever there are people upstairs from you you are going to hear noise. Since landlord is your step-father, ask to move to a different apartment.

Since the landlords are your own mother and step father I would take this as a hint that they want you to move out
