Who here is a furry and how much better does it make your life?

I'm a furry and it's made my life a great deal better. It hasn't made my life perfect because an interest and hobby in one area can only do so much. It's done a lot for helping me break through a lot of the social shells that used to hold me back from being able to socialize with people. Being in the furry fandom and especially attending furry conventions has exposed me to a great many more people from all walks of life than I ever experience in my regular daily life and so has taught me to be far more accepting of others than I was before I got involved in the fandom, and as such I've become a lot more tolerant and understanding of others in my everyday life. The general atmosphere of mutual acceptance and friendship in the fandom that other people maintain has helped in that regard as well. I've made great friendships with many wonderful people. I'm blown away by the creativity and talents of other furries, and while I'm neither creative nor talented I do feel encouragement to at least try in my photography and writing.

My first furry convention was my first real exposure into the furry fandom, and it was a life changing experience in many ways.

I can't afford a furry suit so I swiped some hair from the salon's garbage and stuck it to my body with spit. I have to say it has not improved my life much.
