Where in the bible can you find any place where Jesus says, I am god, worship me?

he never commanded us to worship him, but his father and his god...

jesus does say that he is jehovah, the god of israel... that's why the crowd tried to stone him to death... "before abraham ever was, i am..."

the new testament makes three foundational claims about jesus christ:

1... he is jehovah incarnate, the god of israel...

2... he is the creation of god...

3... he is the begotten son of god...

most churches deny or explain away at least one of these points...

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that. Anyone who wants to see something that isn't there will eventually see it.

Jesus never does.

Jehovah never said "I am";

Go to Hebrew Scriptures, Ex 3 @ http://www.scripture4all.org/ and you will see that Jehovah said "I shall prove to be"

Jesus never called himself 'I am' this phrase is a qualifier and must answer 'What'.

Are you Fred? "I am" What I am Fred.

In John 18 the soldiers asked "Are you Jesus?" and Jesus answered "I am".

No mystery here. A simple question a simple answer.

At John 8:58

Jesus just said "I am" in proper Greek, which is translated into proper English, as "I have been"

Why? BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT MIX TENSES IN ENGLISH. (see “Truth in Translation” below)

On the translating of EGO EIMI at John 8:58 by Dr Jason BeDuhn “Truth in Translation”:

"John 8:58. The traditional translation "Before Abraham was, I am" is slavishly faithful to the literal meaning of the Greek ("Before Abraham came to be, I am"). The result is ungrammatical English. We cannot mix our tenses in such a way. The reason for this ugly rendering is the accident that, in English, the idiomatic "I am" sounds like what God says about himself in the Hebrew/Old Testament. This is sheer coincidence. Jesus is not employing a divine title here. He is merely claiming that he existed before Abraham and, of course, he still exists whereas Abraham is dead. There is nothing wrong with the Greek, but we need to take account of the Greek idiom being employed and render the meaning into proper English.

Jesus never claimed nor did his disciple claim Jesus was God.

Just the opposite.

Jesus claimed to be God's Son; (John 10:32-36)

Jesus denies being the 'only true God' (John 17:3)

Jesus denies being equal to God; (John 5:19, 30)

(Revelation 3:2, 12) “2 Become watchful, and strengthen the things remaining that were ready to die, for I have not found your deeds fully performed before my God.” . . .

(Matthew 4:10) . . .‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’

Notice how the apostles describe Jesus' relationship with his God.

(Ephesians 1:3) 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for he has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in union with Christ,

(Ephesians 1:17) 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give YOU a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the accurate knowledge of him;

(1 Peter 1:3-4) 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

John:

(Revelation 1:5-6) 1 A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John, 5 . . .To him that loves us and that loosed us from our sins by means of his own blood— 6 and he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father—yes, to him be the glory and the might forever. Amen.

Interesting, Jesus, Paul, Peter, and John did not believe Jesus was God.

No where, because Jesus is not God and the bible supports this.

So what does the bible teach?

John 7:16 [Jesus answered] "My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me."

(John 12:49) because I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak.

Jesus said on numerous occasions that, "the Father has sent me." (John 5:37,6:37)

Why are some confused believing Jesus was speaking as the Almighty God?

(Revelation 1:1) A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented it in signs through him to his slave John"

(Clearly Jesus was speaking on his fathers behalf and transmitting what was to be said. Also if, as some teach, Jesus became God when he went to heaven, why did he make this statement that the father gave him what to say? would this not be a lie if he was actually God?)

In addition, Stephen was given a vision into heaven. If God really wanted to teach the trinity this was his opportunity but how many did Stephen mention, was it 1....3? No.... 2 separate individual

(Acts 7:56) and he said: “Look! I behold the heavens opened up and the Son of man standing at God’s right hand.”

These words were uttered more times in the bible at: Mark 16:19, Luke 22:69, Acts 2:33 & Romans 8:34

AND BY JESUS OWN ADMISSION~

This is supported by what Jesus said about be two distinct individual according to law:

John 8:17, 18: “[Jesus answered the Jewish Pharisees] In your law it is written that the testimony of two men is true; I bear witness to myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness to me.”

Also tying in with this scripture... Mark 13:32, Jesus Christ said: “But of that day or that hour [Armageddon] no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

Ask yourself.... How is it possible to be God and not know what God knows?

Jesus in Praying to his father said: "This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, AND him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John 17:3.

The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him." (John 13:16)

(John 14:28) . . .If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.

Not only that~

Jesus prays to God. (John 17:1-3)

Jesus was faithful to God. (Hebrews 2:17,18, Hebrews 3:2)

Jesus is a servant of God. (Acts 3:13)

Jesus does not know things God knows. (Mark 13:32, Revelation 1:1)

Jesus worships God. (John 8:54,55)

Jesus is in subjection to God. (1 Corinthians 15:28)

Jesus is under the headship of God. (1 Corinthians 11:3)

Jesus has reverent submission, fear, of God. (Hebrews 5:7)

Jesus is given lordship by God. (Acts 2:36)

Jesus was exalted by God (Acts 5:31)

Jesus was made high priest by God. (Hebrews 5:10)

Jesus was given authority by God. (Philippians 2:9; Luke 1:32,33; Acts 10:42)

"God raised Jesus from the dead". (Acts 2:24, Romans 10:9, 1 Corinthians 15:15)

So who is Jesus?

God called him his Son ~ Mt 3:17 (prophesy Ps 2:7), Luke 9:35

Satan called him the son of God ~ Mt 4:3,6; Luke 4:3,9

The demons called him the son of God ~ Mt 8:29, Luke 4:41; 8:28; Mk 3:11; 5:6

Angels called him son of God ~ Luke 1:35

John the baptiser called him Son of God ~ John 1:34; Mt 3:17; John 5:33

The apostles called him son of God ~ Luke 3:38; John 1:49-51;3:16;20:31; Mt 14:33; 16:16; 20:31;Lu 23:47; 1 John 3:8; 4:9,15; 5:5,10,12,13,20

Paul preached Jesus is the son of God ~ Acts 9:20; Rom 1:4; 2 Cor 1:19; Gal 1:19; Eph 4:13; Heb 4:14; 6:6; 7:3; 10:29

Robber dying next to Jesus called him God's son ~ Mt 27:40

Roman soldiers called him God's Son ~ Mt 27:54; Mrk 15:39

Many today take part of a scripture one can construe this to have the meaning they want, for example:

(John 14:10) Do you not believe that I am in union with the Father and the Father is in union with me? The things I say to you men I do not speak of my own originality; but the Father who remains in union with me is doing his works. (this is used by trinitarians to prove Jesus is God however Jesus said after this that his disciples were one or in union with him too.... does that make them God too? (John 17:21 see also John 3:34; John 8:28)

Simply, the trinity teaching that Jesus is God and the bible are not in agreement. Jesus is not God, as the bible teaches he is the Son, a separate individual who choose to give up his life for many because of his deep love and faith in his father.

John 4:24-26, and John 10:33, and John 14:6, and then Paul gives a Spirit inspired revelation in Colossians 1:13-20. Prophetically, Isaiah 9:6, and Isaiah 48:12.

There are several of them.

In John 20, following his resurrection, he presents himself to his disciples, and accepts from him worship, having Thomas refer to him as "My Lord and my God."

When on trial before the Jewish leaders in Luke, he is asked by the High Priest if he is the "son of God" (a phrase which in Jewish theology is a claim of deity.) Jesus replied that the High Priest was correct in calling him God and that he would see him seated on the throne of heaven - which is the place were the One who is to be worshiped resides.

In Matthew 18, Jesus asked his disciples who they claimed he was. Peter replied that Jeus was "the son og God" (again, that phrase in Jewish theology is a claim to deity.) Jesus stated that God had revealed that truth to him, and it was on the truth (his deity) the church was to be build.

On John 6, Jesus made the claim that he was deity even using the divine name (YHWH / I AM) to refer to himself. And claim to be eternal having already been alive at the time of Abraham and seen by him.

Just to list a few of the places....

Note that all of Jesus' claims to deity and worship were other claims that he was deity BEFORE his ministry, or claims that he would be deity AFTER his resurrection,

Philippians 2"5-11 tells us that Jesus was God, but that he set aside his deity for a time to become a servant in human form and died on the cross. So during that time he was not function in the role of deity and was not receiving worship. But following his resurrection, he returned to heaven and is now once again acting as deity and requiring worship (every knee to bow to him as Lord.)

When you read the entire Bible you find that all the answers are there.

The bible says they worshiped Jesus.

Page 343.

It's the place where God says, "I Am", and Jesus says, "I Am" - in context of being God. John 8:58.

Muslims are close to apoplexy with the biblical statements about Jesus Christ being God incarnate, and that believers in God are commanded to worship Him. Imams are telling them that there is no verse in the New Testament where Jesus said these exact words, "I am God, worship me", and so they hope their challenging question will silence Christian claims about Jesus, who they insist was just a man, another prophet. So the first thing to do is to ask the Muslim, “Where in the Bible did Jesus say ‘I am not God; don’t worship me’?” That should put paid to this ‘exact words’ criterion.

Well, you asking me that question provides a brilliant opportunity to open the Bible to John chapter 8, to first show verses 23 to 24. This is where Jesus told religious zealots, "You are from below: I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins if you do not believe that I am [the one I claim to be]"

That links to verses 54 to 59 where Jesus explained that He was alive before Abraham was born (disbelieved by Muslims, as with Jesus' audience back then). Jesus then said this most outrageous statement that proves He claimed to be God - "before Abraham was born, I am!"

That was not a grammatical error on the part of the writer, the apostle John, who was present during this confrontation. Jesus deliberately invoked the name of God, as declared by God to Moses, at the burning bush. Exodus 3:14 is clear that one of God's self-designated names is the I Am - the eternally existing One, the all-sufficient One. Jesus called Himself the I Am. The Jews understood perfectly well that that was what He meant to say, for they picked up stones to kill Him, as that would have been utter blasphemy - had it not been true.

Given what John wrote in his first chapter of his gospel account, it is clearly stated in the Bible by Jesus Himself that He is God incarnate. Further, God commands all His angels to worship Christ - Hebrews 1:6, and Revelation chapter 5 describes the resurrected Christ at the centre of God's throne in Heaven, receiving the worship of all around the throne.

Sadly, before getting that far, I expect Muslims to run away or to cover their ears with their hands and refuse to look any further at the Bible. They will start claiming that the Bible has been corrupted and cannot be believed. Well, if that were so, why ask in the first place to see where, in the Bible, Jesus said, "I Am..."?

... That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
