So, I cant tell if my new phone is the iphone 6 or 7. Heres why:?
When I got it off of ebay, the seller was selling about 200 iPhone 6's, and the tag on the back says iphone 6
BUT
on an iphone6, the messaging app is in the top left corner, and the mail is at the bottom, on the 7, its the OPPOSITE. ( I looked on google images. MINE CAME WITH THE MAIL AT THE TOP-LEFT, AND THE MESSAGING AT THE BOTTOM JUST LIKE AN IPHONE 7.
I still have a headphone jack, but the default wallpaper isn't what it is. Its just the 6, not 6s or 6+. I'm confused now, was it accidentally a 7 that got shipped?

Iphone 7 have no headphone jack...it fits into the same port as charging ....iphone 6s does not have the imei number on the rear it is on the sim tray / 6 has on the rear but the clear way to tell is settings / general / about / model - iPhone 7 Models (A1660, A1661, A1778, A1784, A1779, A1785)
iPhone 6S Models (A1633, A1634, A1688, A1687, A1699, A1700)
iPhone 6 Models (A1549, A1586, A1589, A1522, A1524 and A1593)

You could walk into any Apple store and have them tell you what it is, or check the serial number on Apple's website.
This is the easiest way to find all the information about your device.
Even without unboxing it!

The easiest way to tell is this: does it have a headphone socket?
If not then it's a 7.
You state it has a headphone socket so it cannot be a 7 . The position of app tiles on the home screens is irrelevant as they can all be moved around.
To be sure which mode you have, click Settings>General>About and scroll down to Model. Copy the model number into a web browser seach box and you'll quickly see the exact model, colour and storage capacity of whichever iPhone you have.
